Sprinkler Controller Casing Update

In our initial controller design, the PLA-printed enclosure was designed to double as an outlet cover plate, housing the 24VAC transformer inside the enclosure. After consulting with licensed electricians, we learned that running high-voltage AC connections inside a 3D-printed PLA casing does not comply with standard residential electrical codes and can present a potential heat/fire hazard if the transformer fails.

To resolve this, we have fully redesigned the enclosure. The new housing features a lower profile, mounts securely on the wall, and routes the 24VAC power adapter to plug into a standard outlet outside the casing. It also includes an upgraded, easy-access magnetic cover.

We are offering all existing customers a free replacement casing or other options to ensure your installation is fully code-compliant and safe.
